2. The Structural Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory has a long experience
in characterizing the structure of inorganic materials. Such a type of research
implies
a) the preparation of phases through the solid state route,
b) the characterization of such phases,
c) the particular study of the vitreous state.
3. The Solid State Physics Group is composed of theoreticians and experimentalists who carry out research activities pertaining to the physics of II-VI semiconductors, metals, surfaces, disordered and heterogeneous (magnetic or non) systems, and superconductivity. Some members perform some research in applied statistical physics (simulations, fluid invasion in porous media, crystal growth, traffic jams, biological evolution, econophysics)
