Research activities

Since 1988 the SUPRAS Group has been investigating high critical temperature superconductors. Particular topics of interest are:

- fine electrical resistivity measurements (with or without an applied magnetic field) and theory
- fine thermoelectric power measurements (with or without an applied magnetic field) and theory
- fine thermal conductivity measurements (with or without an applied magnetic field) and theory
- fine measurements of Nernst effect and theory
- measurements of specific heat and theory
- measurements of heat diffusivity and theory
- measurements of superconductivity fluctuations and theory
- measurements of magnetic susceptibility (real and imaginary part) and theory
- measurements of critical currents (transport method)
- theoretical models of lamellar systems
- theoretical models of granular systems
- simulation of crystal growth
- synthesis of bulk basic ceramics
- synthesis of anionic or cationic substitutional ceramics
- synthesis under a magnetic field for texturing
- synthesis with specific seeds
- synthesis under thermal cycling and theory
- synthesis trough the "vitreous-crystalline" route
- hot spots and theory
- data acquisition automation
- statistical data analysis

This has resulted in more than 200 publications in international scientific journals, in communications at more than 100 conferences , and in invited lectures.
